Quality does matter

Not many of us think about a hospital until we need one. It’s at that moment when the quality of a hospital is catapulted to the top of our mind.

Questions like who will care for me, how long will I be there, what kind of quality care can I expect pass through our minds as does a ton of other things.

One thing is certain—Mountain View Hospital is the kind of place that will put all of those fears and questions to rest. Recently, Mountain View Hospital in Payson has earned a couple of prestigious awards about the quality of care that one would receive by being treated there.

Earlier this fall, Mountain View Hospital earned the HealthInsight Quality Award for the third consecutive year. The hospital joined only six other hospitals in Utah to be awarded with this quality award.

Mountain View Hospital was selected for their demonstration of high quality care and excellence in performance in quality care based on public reports to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Additionally, Mountain View Hospital was the only hospital in Utah to earn the Joint Commission’s “Top Performing Hospitals” award. Only 405 hospitals out of 3,500+ across the nation or the top 14% nationwide, earned this award and one is right here in your own back yard—well Payson is close enough to your backyard.

This award is a result of accredited hospitals and critical access hospitals that achieve and uphold excellence in accountability measured performances.

So, the next time you need a hospital, it might be in your best interest to head to Payson and enjoy (as much as one could enjoy a hospital stay) the quality of care you deserve when you need the best health care possible.
